Terms of Service
Effective 22 May 2026These terms govern your use of Wallz, accessible at wallz.gg. By creating an account or playing, you agree to them.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Wallz. Where stricter local rules apply, those win.
2. Your account
- One account per person.
- Provide accurate information when signing up.
- You are responsible for the security of your password. Don't share it.
- If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, abuse the service, or fail to verify their email.
3. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Use external chess / Quoridor engines or assistants while playing ranked matches.
- Manipulate Elo (collusion, sandbagging, multi-accounting).
- Harass, threaten, or send abusive chat messages.
- Reverse-engineer the websocket protocol to forge moves or impersonate other players.
- Run automated scripts against the site beyond reasonable human use.
- Upload content (avatars, handles) that is sexual, hateful, or otherwise illegal.
Violations may result in a temporary or permanent ban. If a paid product is ever introduced, banned accounts forfeit any unused balance.
4. Ranked play
Ranked matches affect your Elo and W/L stats. Disconnecting mid-game beyond the reconnect window forfeits the game. Running out of time on the clock has the same effect — your opponent wins.
5. Content
You retain ownership of avatars and other content you upload. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content on the site as part of the gameplay experience. We may remove content that breaches section 3 without notice.
6. Service is provided as-is
Wallz is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We don't guarantee the service will always be available, bug-free, or fit for any particular purpose. Match data is preserved on a best-effort basis; we don't promise to retain it forever.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (including loss of Elo, loss of access, or loss of data) arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes to the terms
We may update these terms. The "Effective" date above will move when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Termination
You can stop using Wallz at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the operator is principally based. A specific governing-law clause will be added once a formal company entity is in place behind the service.
